The Brothership Building South Gallery Window curated by Berkshire Art Center will feature "Monsters from the Id" by Jody Schoenfeld for the month of February.

Artist’s Statement:

“The beauty of the world, from the mundane to the extraordinary,
can be demonstrated through color, shape and form. My goal is to
shock, intrigue, jolt or amuse the viewer. There are always
surprises in my paintings that take time to discover. I paint with
water mixable oils and sometimes heavy body acrylics on cotton
and linen canvases in figurative, representational and abstract
imagery.”

About the Show:

Art can often emerge from the unconscious and is sometimes monstrous, free of the super ego and ego, without judgment. The paintings in this exhibit range from monstrous to joyous. Decide for yourselves.

Opening Reception:

The artist will be holding an Opening Reception on Friday, January 31st from 5-7 pm, in the lobby of the Brothership Building (141 North Street, Pittsfield).
