About raku
Raku is a traditional Japanese firing method that uses fire, combustible material, glaze, and air to create dazzling effects on clay pieces. In four hours, you will experience all the stages of raku — firing, reduction, and cooling.
We provide the pottery, you make it art!
During the event, everyone will have the opportunity to experience the wet clay process, rounding out a complete tactile, hands-on experience. Please wear close-toed shoes and long sleeves/pants (preferably cotton or cotton/blend).
