(Please note this course was scheduled to start on July 10th, but has been postponed with a new start date reflected above so there is still time to register!)

In this class, we will use various types of music as jumping off points to creating free wheeling abstractions using simple materials such as gouache, water color, colored pencils, pens, pencils and erasers. Various composers will be featured whose work will be performed this summer at Tanglewood. By augmenting your artful experiences with live concerts, you will gain a deeper understanding both of the music and the inspirations that will come from intimate listening. Come with an open mind, a curious ear and no fear about creating!

Please note, full time Berkshire Residents may obtain a Berkshire Resident's Pass for the Tanglewood Season. This pass, which costs $100 for the entire season, will allow you to drop into any BSO, TMC and classical guest artist's performances allowing you to sit on the lawn, listen up and make paintings while you listen! Highly encouraged.

Beginning January 2023, proof of vaccination is no longer required for this class. Masks will continue to be optional, but encouraged for this class. Please review updated COVID Safety Plan HERE.
